A Dynamic Pavilion in Plaça d’Espanya. The structure redefines the experience of Plaça d’Espanya by combining movement, interaction, and shade. It consists of two undulating metal tubes, guiding visitors inward and connecting to the central monument via tensioned cables, creating a dynamic spatial framework. Above, light fabric panels move with the wind, constantly shifting light, shadow, and form. This interplay partially conceals and reveals the monument, changing based on perspective and airflow. Beyond its visual effect, the pavilion provides a shaded, ventilated space, enhancing comfort while integrating natural forces into the urban environment.

Plaça D’espanya
Plaça d’Espanya is one of Barcelona’s main squares, built for the 1929 International Exhibition. It is located at the foot of Montjuïc and serves as a gateway to important landmarks such as the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) and the Magic Fountain. The square features the Venetian Towers, which mark the entrance to Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina, as well as Las Arenas, a former bullring transformed into a shopping center with a panoramic viewpoint.
