Amanda is an architect with a diverse background in architecture, building engineering, and computational design. She graduated with honours and awards from McGill University in 2014, earning a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture in 2015. In 2022, she obtained a Master in Advanced Computation for Architecture & Design (MaCAD) from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Barcelona. Amanda is a registered architect with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and holds an active licence in Texas and previously in Quebec.
She is also an Autodesk Certified Professional and holds a Revizto Certification. Amanda’s professional journey includes diverse roles such as a Sustainable Architecture Professor at Herzing College, and an Architectural Designer with experience working in Canada and the USA. In her current role as a Practice Technology Leader at HED, Amanda leverages design technology to elevate project outcomes. Her responsibilities include automating design processes using Dynamo, developing training content, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and providing mentorship to staff. Most recently, she presented at BILT ANZ 2024, where she shared insights on “Streamlining Data Center Design with Advanced Computational Tools.”
