22@, an ongoing project in Poblenou, Barcelona aims to promote sustainable development and enhance the quality of life for its residents. However, one of the current challenges faced by the project is the significant noise and air pollution caused by the transportation of construction and demolition waste (CDW) from construction sites to landfills, which adversely affects the citizens’ quality of life within their homes and surroundings.

Hypotesis

With the help of Geospatial analysis in Python, it is possible to identify the route of CDW transport, which is optimally short, but at the same time negatively affecting the minimum number of residents.

Methodology

1. Identify the A and B points – a particulal plot under construction and the closest landfill.

2. Find the shortest routes from A to B – for delivering CDW to the landfill.

3. Using density map of Barceona census sections select the shortest route with the lowest impact on residents.
