This is a hands-on course oriented towards learning and gaining experience in the use of tools and machines related to fabrication, prototyping and designing through digital fabrication tools.

Syllabus

The Design + Fabrication course instructs and engages students in the design and discovery of novel fabrication strategies through the methodological integration of matter, processes and techniques.

Advanced manufacturing and new design methodologies are not only changing how we work, live and play but reshaping the processes and interactions in the cities and societies. The introduction of those processes into the architectural industry is changing the paradigm of how we conceive the architectural method. This new mediation between old knowledge and new techniques are making the process as important as the end work, all becoming a whole.
