Ece Tankal is a Turkish born designer and artist based in London. She is the co-founder of Hyphen-Labs, a studio practice which incorporates several forms of media and emerging technologies, using virtual reality, speculative object and spatial design to embody alternative presents and futures. Trained in architecture, Ece develops and executes interactive installations, social activations and products that engage audiences across different platforms, working on expanding the vocabulary of what’s possible by communicating story and content through these means. Focusing on technology, she is interested in exploring the creation of power and the tools to disrupt and redistribute it through an immersive sequence of interventions and conversations to create spaces for alternative approaches to our shared futures.
