Gonzalo Casas is a software engineer at the Chair of Architecture and Digital Fabrication at ETH Zurich. He completed his Bachelor in Computer Science in 2006 in Córdoba, Argentina. However, his passion for software development ignited over a decade earlier. His professional career started in 1999, followed shortly by the creation of a small software studio that focused on web development. In late 2006, he relocated to Switzerland to work on BPM engineering and later on mobile development. He is an open source contributor and advocate, and active member of the Internet of Things community in Zürich, as well as organizer of the Open Network Infrastructure initiative and the Make Zurich series of hackathons. In January 2017, Gonzalo joined the NCCR Digital Fabrication team as a software engineer.
