Gonzalo Garcia Perate is a technologist, designer, and entrepreneur and has co-founded five companies before embarking in his current journey helping organisations leverage generative AI and co-founding a startup in the climate resilience space.
He likes to think with his hands and on his feet. A sketch, prototype, or experiment has the potential to bring the clarity needed to accelerate innovation and create new businesses, products, or services. At organisations like IDEO and Frog, that included working with IKEA to design and implement a system to track sustainability metrics across the whole organisation, and defining the human-machine interface for a new automaker bringing an electric car to market.
Gonzalo’s long and varied career in design, science, and technology has seen him co-found a digital design consultancy in London. While at Alpha, Europe’s first moonshot factory, he co-founded a business designing solutions to eradicate energy poverty in emerging markets. He has lectured extensively in design, computing, architecture, and business schools; has had his work published in peer-reviewed academic venues; and has received a number of grants and awards for his commercial and research work.
