Hande Karataş is an architect with a professional and academic background spanning architectural design, large-scale infrastructure coordination, computational design, and artificial intelligence in architecture. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, where she developed a strong foundation in design and building technology.
Hande’s professional experience includes working on multidisciplinary coordination for large-scale infrastructure and transportation projects. Through these roles, she gained expertise in construction workflows, collaboration across engineering disciplines, and BIM-driven project environments.
In 2024, Hande completed the Master in Advanced Computation for Architecture & Design (MaCAD) at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC). During the program, she expanded her focus toward computational design methodologies and the integration of machine learning in architectural workflows, culminating in research on AI-driven daylight prediction models. Her work bridges technical innovation with practical applications in early-stage design, simulation, and smart construction strategies.
