Hugo is a transport planner with extensive experience in urban design and transport planning. His career so far has allowed him to work on international projects across different scales and scopes. Starting his career as an urban designer in Milan, Hugo is a specialist in the transport and mobility aspects of the design process, focusing on a holistic methodology to bridge an engineering centred practice with wider principles of design. This led him to opportunities in the realm of transport-oriented design initiatives and large-scale masterplans with a high requirement for transport infrastructure.
Hugo joined BuroHappold Engineering in 2020 as a natural step in the progression of his focus on designing solutions to marry high quality urban realms with the principles of mobility and transport.
