João Silva

Joao is an architect turned technologist, working in robotics and digital fabrication research. Obsessed with automating and simplifying workflows, he designs interoperability pipelines for machine-human collaboration. He holds a Masters from the University of Porto (FAUP) and Moholy-Nagy (MOME) and is an alumni from the MACAD program at IAAC. In another life, he worked as a computational designer for BIM project implementations. He is the founder of SOMA, a design practice working on potentiating social and community projects through participatory strategies.
