Kunaljit Chadha is an architect from India with expertise in digital design and robotic high-volume manufacturing. His research focuses on synthesizing non-standardized materials using digital fabrication techniques for architectural construction. His early work experience at Menis Arquitectos in Spain helped him develop his curiosity about processing anisotropic materials into architectural tectonics. To further explore this field, he completed his Master’s at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), Spain, between 2014-16. Previously, he was a lecturer and expert in robotic manufacturing at IAAC and FabLab Barcelona. Within the Advanced Architecture Group at IAAC, he was involved in a variety of courses and research from 2016 to 2021. Kunal is currently a Ph.D. student at Gramazio Kohler Research at ETH Zurich, working on “Impact Printed Structures: Full scale on-site robotic earth construction”.
