Pablo Herreros Cantis is a Research Fellow at the Urban Systems Lab, The New School University in New York, USA, and a PhD candidate at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Basque Center for Climate Change. Interested in using GIS tools and urban ecology concepts for climate change adaptation, Pablo Herreros Cantis’ work focuses on the analysis of cities as socio-eco-technological environments in which both the risks due to climate change and the factors that define social vulnerability are unevenly distributed across the territory. Pablo Herreros Cantis has worked with numerous organisations and municipalities to map and present the distribution of flood risks in American cities, as well as the distribution of benefits provided by urban green infrastructure, with a focus on environmental justice.
