Sebastiano Scacchetti is Associate Director in Buro Happold’s Mobility and Transport team. During his career he had the opportunity to work for leading Mobility and Transport Engineering Firms (MIC-HUB, JACOBS and Buro Happold) on more than a hundred urban developments, mobility studies, large transport schemes, regional studies, master plans, public transport corridors, TODs and large events. He worked internationally with public transport authorities, planning and transportation agencies, private developers, architecture and urban planning firms in particular in Europe, UK, KSA, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, US, Southeast Asia, Russia, always aiming at the introduction of new styles of sustainable mobility, underlining the centrality of public transportation, mass transit, micro-mobility and pedestrian oriented environments, as key elements for the design of future cities. He is leading the BH Global Transport Modelling team, specialised in the use of transport simulation softwares and geographical GIS software for network analysis, developing effective, flexible, and customized simulation tools to define and assess innovative strategic solutions for public transport, pedestrian, and bicycle networks.
