Vivek Venkateshappa

Vivek Venkateshappa, is an architect and designer with over eight years of experience leading an award-winning multidisciplinary practice in India, which he continues to monitor remotely from Spain. His work focuses on merging innovative design with practical solutions across diverse scales, bridging sustainability, technology and creativity in the built environment.

He recently graduated from IAAC, where his thesis explored the integration of robotics and large-scale 3D printing with natural processes to create self-sustaining living walls. These systems use mosses and halophyte species for bioremediation of polluted soils and water, with the aim of transforming contaminated urban areas such as Sant Adrià de Besòs into regenerative ecosystems.

In Spain, Vivek is expanding his research and practice around advanced construction technologies, ecological innovation and scalable architectural systems that can address both local and global environmental challenges.
