ShapeDiver is an online platform which allows one to share and interact with Grasshopper files online. The objective was to utilize the platform to demonstrate the proximity network of sugarcane fields in the South African context, which is the central theme of my thesis. To achieve this, I obtained the gradient field data of the sugarcane fields in South Africa. Based on these gradient field center points, I constructed a proximity network with three distinct groups of varying lengths. Shorter lengths within the network indicates a stronger network, and vice versa.
By adjusting the group lengths within Shape Diver, one can observe how the proximity network evolves in response to these parameters. This feature enables a visual exploration of how changes in group lengths affect the overall network structure. An additional advantage of utilizing Shape Diver is its ability to easily modify the location of the sugarcane fields, provided one possesses the relevant gradient data.
