Striving to expand our understanding of sustainable use of energy, we participated in the Metabolic Building Systems: Water workshop. We learned about the core concepts of how to handle water consumption management and how to repurpose waste water.

One of the ideas that we applied to our Urban Synthesis project is the reuse of grey water for irrigating greenery that simultaneously works to help filter the water for further re-use.

At this workshop, we were introduced to an even broader array of tools and calculation conventions for measuring water consumption to help us advance our Urban Synthesis project further. Managing water waste is crucial for sustainability-centered projects while our exposure to relevant estimates and formulas has brought us a step closer to not only completing our academic project but to also carry out any future commercial low-waste projects as well; and we are excited at the prospect of applying our newfound knowledge to our future endeavors going forward.
