OPTIMIZING FOR INTERNAL BUILDING VIEWS AND BALCONY SPACE

DESIGN DRIVER | Fractal Tree Growth

Previous Computation Design II Project

In my previous project, I used Lindenmayer systems (L-systems) in Grasshopper to simulate fractal growth, modeling complex natural structures like trees and plants. Using the Rabbit plugin, I generated intricate, self-similar geometries through iterative symbol replacement rules, capturing the emergent complexity of nature. Anemone loops further helped explore the principles of fractal growth.

BUILDING FACADE OPTIMIZATION

NEW Computational Design III Concept

Building on the previous CDII project, I want to use the length of the longest branch as a shape driver for my buildings form. This principle guides the design and optimization of the building facade and allows me to look at: 1- Dynamic Growth Simulation: Evolving the facade in response to external parameters 2- Optimization Hierarchy: How different optimization decisions are prioritized in my fitness value

This approach aims to create a facade that combines natural complexity with enhanced performance.
