The Assignment to build a parametric partition wall suites the needs for more privacy in our shared rooms in Valldaura. The problem that we wanted to solve was to create a partition wall that provides privacy and acts as a sound diffuser while letting daylight from the window passing through.
Approach
We came up with a practical Design that could be realized with the waste wood found around Valldaura. The Partition can also also be used as a nightstand and a shelf in the parts where the ribs are flat.

Assembly & Fabrication
For the fabrication the Ribs are sorted in a List, showing their place in every row and length as well as their rotation.
Ropes under tension in between the ceiling and the floor hold the metal rods that accommodate the rotating wooden ribs.
