Introduction
The “Curtain Wave Facade” is a dynamic architectural intervention characterized by its undulating, perforated aluminum structure. Inspired by the motion of a curtain being drawn, the facade features a striking geometric pattern composed of extruded triangular elements. These elements converge to form two curved openings:
The upper opening, designed as a concave curve, accommodates a small tree, symbolizing a harmonious blend of nature and architecture.
The lower opening, resembling a page being turned, reveals a transparent grid curtain wall behind the facade.

The facade’s brick-red aluminum material reflects durability and a modern aesthetic, while the attractor curve running diagonally from the top right to the bottom left introduces a dynamic, rippling effect. This interplay of form and function not only enhances the visual identity of the building but also optimizes light and ventilation for the interior spaces.
The Curtain Wave Facade stands as a testament to innovative architectural design, merging sculptural artistry with sustainability and urban elegance.
Reference Image and Design process
Form the reference image we took the ideas of the openings and the curved attractor curve technique having a range of openings and closings. From there we sketched experimenting with a flat opening to curved openings.
Pseudo Code
Iterations
From the script we developed series of iterations . These iterations were done by manipulating the top and bottom edges of the facade and the curve pull point of the facade.
