In Valldoreix, nestled in the mountains of Barcelona, a unique housing project is taking shape at the intersection of nature and innovation.
Designed to eventually grow and accommodate various family models, the project unfolds along what can be imagined as an impressively long 3D-printed wall with breaks for circulation, winding veins to create a village-like community.
The user is a single 5-member middle-upper class family looking for respite away from the bustling city life.
The site being one of the richer communities in Barcelona poses 3d printed earthen architecture as an attractive solution for upper class living.

Game of Grids
Aligning the grid for the wall axes perpendicular to the road to continue the existing line of plots creates a 45 degree diagonal alignment for every facade.
This is reminiscent of the plan of Barcelona, where the 45-degree NW-SE orientation of the grid ensures all spaces receive sunshine during the day.
CHARACTER
Open spaces bathed in Sunlight. “A Sunday in the Sun”
