Harmonizing water treatment and thermal comfort to everyday living
This project aligns with Design Studio G1, focusing on Metabolic smart prefabrication. The design concept challenges the incorporation of water treatment as a fundamental aspect of architecture and everyday living. The objective is to harmonize and repurpose water treatment into a thermal comfort system, integrating interactive ventilation fans and light simulation.
In the future, the population will experience denser residential buildings. The increased density of living spaces is anticipated
to result in higher energy consumption due to elevated thermal levels both inside and outside the buildings.
To address this issue, the design approach involves intervention through repurposing the water treatment process with
metabolic systems, thus enhancing the overall living experience with water and concurrently reducing thermal heat
within buildings and neighboring areas.
The conceptual model and the prototype differ in terms of materials and technical installations.
This proposal is applicable to specific residential buildings, tailoring the intervention to the unique characteristics of each structure.
The prototype can be integrated into various systems within a building, including facade elements, building interventions, and smart device fabrication.
