In the field of architecture, VR and AR are new attempts. The challenge of this project is how to use them as expressions and implement them in society.

My idea was to load the images on a smartphone, from which the world and architecture would unfold and be explained in three dimensions at the touch of a button.

Using a plug-in in Unity called Vuforia, I loaded the images I had set up. Then, a Canvas and a 3D model are deployed in Unity, and the next Canvas and the model change accordingly with the buttons set in the Canvas.

In my thesis, I compare the current Tokyo with the Tokyo Plan 1960 as conceived by architect Kenzo Tange, and consider what we can gain from it and apply it to the city.

Currently, it is still in the production stage, but we have chosen an area in Tokyo, tentatively the Roppongi area, to represent the 3D image of the area. The following is an example. We also modeled Kenzo Tange’s residence building as a sample.
