Robotic Finishing Touch focuses on additively manufacturing of full scale earth based wall structures

Syllabus

Digital fabrication, in particular additive manufacturing techniques, have been a major enabler for designers and architects to realize digitally designed, full-scale architectural structures.  However, since the construction industry has yet to accept the resolution of such technologies, these structures need extra post processing operations to make them market ready. As an added downside these operations are tedious and can be better suited to for machines.

Robotic Finishing Touch focuses on additively manufacturing of full scale earth based wall structures using an industrial robot and later explore efficient rendering methods with a goal of achieving high-quality surface finishes on the fabricated structures using a collaborative robotic setup.
