The Problem
When it comes to envisioning interior transformations, many individuals struggle to accurately visualize their desired changes. The limitations of relying solely on personal imagination, mood boards, or the assistance of third parties can often lead to inefficiencies and uncertainties. Traditional 3D visualization techniques can be time-consuming, expensive, and require the expertise of highly specialized professionals.
The Solution
To address these challenges and simplifying the process of reimagining interior spaces, we have developed a cutting-edge tool that empowers users to bring their visions to life. By leveraging the power of artificial intelligence, our tool revolutionizes the way people conceptualize and transform their living spaces by giving them the power to accurately control the visualisation of their idea.
How It Works
The user provides multiple inputs, which undergo a three-model process consisting of GroundingDino for text-based selection of objects, Segment Anything Model (SAM) for accurate masking of the selection and Stable diffusion in-painting for image regeneration. This powerful combination ultimately produces the desired output image.
More in detail, the process begins with the user input: an image, a prompt to identify the parts of the image to change, and a second prompt to state with what to change those identified parts with.
The first two inputs are being used for Grounding DINO, an object detection model capable of detecting objects with given textual prompt inputs. Grounding DINO returns an object box with its corresponding label as an output.
This output is then fed into the Segment Anything Model (SAM), a segmentation model which produces object masks from input prompts such as boxes or points. In fact, besides writing a prompt to identify the objects to change, the user can also select the objects with its finger or mouse. This action is read as a point that is being input immediately into SAM, bypassing Grounding DINO.
As a last step, the generated mask, the initial input image and the prompt stating the changes to make to the image are used for Stable Diffusion, a diffusion model that returns images as an output. With the use of Stable Diffusion, an in-painting process is applied to the masks generating a new image that reflects the user’s desired changes as an output. The result is an image that seamlessly blends the modifications with the existing environment, producing a realistic and visually compelling representation of the transformed space.
