RESEARCH QUESTION

Custom facade design has high costs,currently these designs are reserved to high end residential design.

What if AI could give a valid variety of proposals for balconies customized arrangements that take into account microclimate and privacy of the outdoor space?

METHODOLOGY

The workflow consisted in finding a proper generative design dataset and choosing the appropriate training models for this task, we ended up using 2 models which we will present more in detail soon and finally we went back into gh to look at our results to help us understand if the set up was getting us some valuable results.

DESIGN PROCESS

  • The adjacency matrix works well for relation understanding
  • It is easier to reconstruct the initial geometry from the edges
  • The model considers an input and output condition so it can reflect a design decision

It is quicker to detect the cloud of points

The workflow of building the model construction  and training is  smooth
