Developed for the MACAD cloud-based data management course, Campifier is inspired by my personal passion for camping. It is a playful and user-friendly tool to help camping enthusiasts have fun customizing their personalized camping pod, encouraging people to be outdoors more in a world of iPhones and laptops!

The interface of the app is very simple and intuitive, a couple of seconds and the users can automatically navigate without any instructions

The page starts with the default camping pod…a square based cloud like geometry. In the backend, linked to a simple and quick grasshopper script.

The sliders on the left-hand side show the customizable parameters: length, width, number of points as well as a randomized button and colour selections. The combinations of those sliders can create very unique designs for each user.

The design of the sliders and buttons is meant to be minimal and sleek while still being very easy to use and not detract the user from the pod design.

By moving the sliders, the user can compute and view the result of their design choices instantly. In addition to that, each iteration produces a set of important data for the potential buying customer: price, weight, area…all crucial to a buying decision and making sure the new pod fits their needs.

Campifier is a simple tool that hopefully will get you excited to explore nature with your new customized pod!
