The increasing concern over indoor air quality has prompted the development of innovative solutions to create healthier living environments. In response to this, my Arduino project introduces a Smart Exhaust System designed to monitor and improve air quality. Utilizing the MQ 135 air quality sensor.

CONCEPT

The concept behind my Arduino-based Smart Exhaust System revolves around real-time air quality monitoring and responsive action. The MQ 135 sensor detects various air pollutants such as carbon dioxide, ammonia, and methane. By setting a threshold ppm value, users can customize the system to respond to specific pollutant levels. When the sensor reading exceeds the predefined threshold, signaling poor air quality, the DC motor activates as an exhaust fan to expel the contaminated air. Simultaneously, a passive buzzer emits an audible alert, notifying occupants of the compromised air quality. This two-pronged approach ensures both a physical response to remove pollutants and an immediate audible warning, creating a comprehensive system for maintaining a healthier indoor environment.
