Safety Detectors on Helmets for Motorcyclists, Bikers and Skaters.

The Smart Helmets aim at providing Safety to Motorcyclists, Bikers and even Skaters, to avoid crashing into a car or any object by detecting the distance of the object and light intensity from cars or other vehicles and alerting the rider with the help of buzzers and led lights.

Features

Apart from some existing features that helmets have,  Smart helmets have additional features like GPS, Music, Headphones, Calling, Bluetooth. But this Project adds more to it. LED display screen and Buzzer for alerts connected to distance and light sensors.

CONCEPT

The Smart Helmet has 2 sensors, the LDR and Ultrasonic Distance Sensor, which detects the light intensity from a vehicle nearby and the distance to avoid crashes, specially during the night when the headlights of vehicles may make it difficult to look upfront.

The closer the distance and the more the intensity of the light, it gives an alert in terms of a buzzer with different pitches as well as indicator lights turning on based on the detectors. This light may also be useful to indicate and alert the opposite vehicle.

This is majorly useful during night time and in tunnels where the lights of vehicles coming from the opposite side may be blinding at times and thus, the led indicators may even help the opposite vehicle to recognise an approaching subject.
