In Valdaurra Labs, the design of 3D-printed earth walls needs to incorporate strategic grid/period deformations to optimize for natural light and ventilation. By adjusting the curvature and openings in these periods and grids, the structure allows for more sunlight to penetrate while improving airflow and maintaing the building cool. This strategic deformation allows for play from wall to wall as site conditions per wall change. In our North-South Grid based site, a more direct South Sun exposure would allow for a strategic performance that could elevate thermal cooling and indirect lighting.

Each Group was tasked to develop an architectural intervention for the possibility of a new prototype that would share the space with both Tova and Teixit, each groups strategic developments accounted for the site analysis seen prior, and developed a proposal that would utilizes the climatic strategies and maximize the value in each of the walls.
