LASER CUTTING I INTERACTIVE FACADE

An interactive facade system crafted using the precise technique of laser cutting. This project is a testament to the harmonious blend of creativity and technology.

Our journey began with a vision to create a facade system that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also interactive, adding a dynamic element to the static world of architecture. We chose two distinct materials, each with its own unique properties, to bring our vision to life. The interlocking method served as the backbone of our design, providing stability and a seamless integration of the two materials.

CONCEPT

The facade is composed of a series of modular panels. These panels are designed to respond to various stimuli such as light, and movement. The facade’s surface is made from a combination of translucent and opaque materials, creating a visually striking aesthetic that changes throughout the day.

LASER CUTTING I INTERACTIVE FACADE

We embark on an exciting journey to create a vertical facade element, a testament to the blend of modern technology and ancient artistry.

Inspired by the intricate designs of Romanesque mosaic work, our project aims to pay homage to the timeless beauty of these historical masterpieces. The Romanesque period, known for its architectural grandeur and detailed mosaics, serves as a rich source of inspiration for our design.

CONCEPT

The facade is composed of panels, featuring a pattern inspired by Romanesque mosaics. These patterns, known for their geometric complexity and symbolic motifs, are translated into a three-dimensional context on the facade panels. The panels are designed to interlock, creating a continuous surface that showcases the Romanesque-inspired patterns. The interlocking design also adds structural integrity to the facade system, ensuring its durability and stability.
