Where to stay?
The aim of the project was to map the Airbnb data openly available for the city. This allows the user to get information with respect to the cost and connectivity to various tourist attractions for all arrondissements (neighborhoods) in the city.
The Cube
- BASE : The base of the cube has a map of the arrondissements of the city of Paris projecting the following information:
- Costs of Airbnb; based on the selection of arrondissement from the number slider, you get the extrusions (as seen in the video above) with respect to the cost of stay for one night from the locations of all Airbnb in the neighborhood.
- Distance from center of arrondissement; the extrusions showing the costs, grade from green to white in color which is responding to the distance of the Airbnb from the center of the neighborhood.
- LEFT SIDE : This side shows the boundary of the selected arrondissement, along with,
- The name of the arrondissement.
- The location of Airbnb in the arrondissement.
- The total number of Airbnb in the arrondissement.
- Average price for one night in the arrondissement.
- RIGHT SIDE :
- The Vornoi pattern acting as base of the map, essentially shows the density pattern of Airbnb in the entire city.
