Can AI Help Us Regulate Itself?

AI is rapidly transforming the world. One critical question is whether AI can help regulate itself. By training a LLM on a comprehensive set of research papers, we can explore AI’s potential to provide insights into its own governance and ethical use.

The research investigates how national policies in global powers influence the AI development strategies and self-regulation practices of the Big Nine tech companies: Google, Amazon, Apple, Facebook, IBM, Microsoft, Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent. By analyzing regulatory environments and self-regulation mechanisms, we aim to provide a comprehensive view of the geopolitical and ethical implications of AI governance. Comparative case studies will underscore the necessity for robust, ethical AI policies and international cooperation to ensure that AI development benefits humanity as a whole.

By interacting with the chatbot, we are able to gather valuable insights. The repository created can help legislators who are learning about AI and need guidance or education about its workings.
