CONCEPT

I hate sweaty armpits. I hate having them, and I wouldn’t wish them on my worst enemy. Although sweat is a normal bodily function, it might be an insecurity for some.
However, this worthless device will not come close to addressing the problem. But it might shame you into taking the proper actions. Introducing: PitPatrol™, the moist useless invention ever.
Featuring a not-so-intricate algorithm, the PitPatrol™ is designed to analyze your armpits’ humidity with loose accuracy. It doesn’t just detect sweat; it judges it.

Disclaimer: It goes without saying that you don’t need a device to figure out you have sweaty underarms. If you did, this device would actually be of some use, which goes against everything it stands for.

Here’s how it works:

A temperature sensor and a moisture sensor will work hand in hand to check the ambient temperature, while simultaneously checking the moisture levels.

An LCD display will lay out distasteful messages depending on the output.

This device is also equipped with an obnoxious thumb that moves according to moisture fluctuations, to add insult to injury. The judgment joint comes in a plastic plant to enhance the overall tacky look of the device.

Start by placing the moisture sensor under your arm. If the moisture sensor picks up on any dewiness (>900), one of two scenarios will unfold:

  • If it is >21°C: then you are sweaty from the weather, and the LCD display will give you a pass: you are feeling the heat, and this does not define you.
  • However, If it isn’t hot outside (<21) but you’re still swampy, the LCD display will let you know of that dissonance, and you will be held accountable.
It is important to note that regardless of whether you are sweaty for weather reasons or for other reasons, you WILL be on the receiving end of a thumbs down and hopefully, of some shame.

If the moisture sensor relays <900:
Then regardless of the temperature, your armpits are deemed dry enough for the device, and you will be granted a beautiful erect thumb.

FUTURE STEPS

Future steps would include:

  • Adding a built-in speaker with specific sound effects for each scenario, to elevate the shaming/praising experience (I.e. booing or applause).
  • Sending an instant notification with your results to all your close contacts, every time you use PitPatrol™.
