In this context IAAC works with a multidisciplinary approach, facing the challenges posed by our environment and the future development of cities, architecture and buildings, through a virtuous combination of technology, biology, computational design, digital and robotic fabrication, pushing innovation beyond the boundaries of a more traditional architectural approach.
Fab.AR: Manual Fabrication assisted with Augmented Reality invites to explore the toolchain of Augmented Reality when applied to fabrication related scenarios, combining physical prototyping, material testing, computational design and augmented reality, in order to bridge the gap between the physical and digital realm and propose new ways for guided manual fabrication.

The goal is to use Augmented Reality (AR) to design and construct warp and weft woven structures with high precision. Real-time AR overlays to visualize interlacing patterns, adjust alignments, and dynamically adapt placements. This system enables error detection, structural feedback, and interactive modifications, making complex woven assemblies feasible without extensive manual adjustments.
