Using AI scripting in grasshopper to create and analyse reused timber stacked systems

Two methods of creating panels made from an existing stocklist of reclaimed Timber using AI scripting integrated into Grasshopper. The first method explores the simple end to end stacking, by taking a random piece from the stock and placing it in a custom and predetermined frame size. The pieces that exceed the frame are chopped off and placed in the next row. This process is repeated until the frame is fully created. An instruction manual is exported to be able to follow the process. The wood index, where each piece is chopped and where each one is placed. The interlocking “feet” are placed according to custom sliders to determine the positioning and the structural analysis results.
