The app’s back-end calculations and project estimations leverage Grasshopper, a visual programming tool integrated with Rhino‘s 3D modeling tools. Through Hops this combination allows users to input a single curve floorplan and adjust parameters such as the wall height. Grasshopper’s powerful computational design capabilities ensure that VirtuPaint can provide precise paint quantity estimations, cost calculations, and project timelines based on user inputs.
The integration of Three.js, a cross-browser JavaScript library/API used to create and display animated 3D computer graphics in a web browser, allows VirtuPaint users to visualize their projects in a detailed 3D environment. This immersive experience helps users better understand how different colors and finishes will look in their actual space, making VirtuPaint not just a planning tool but an essential part of the creative process.
