“First Life, then Spaces, then Buildings, the other way around never works” – Jan Gehl
The proposal is an intervention at the site situated in Diagonal Mar, neighborhood, inspired from the fundamental idea of Placemaking. The intervention goes beyond development, aiming to activate the site and create a vibrant community. Grounded in functionality, the approach centers on communal integrity, fostering a dynamic dialogue among users.
To uplift the site, the project tries to instill life and purpose by creating Vistas of visual accesses to create a nexus of focal points. It is not just about physical space but a catalyst for interaction— expected to be a symphony of ideas and experiences. Recognizing health concerns and air quality degradation in Barcelona, the project commits to create a thriving biome with pure and invigorating air, extending our responsibility beyond the site to the city.
The project is an exploration to create communal synergy, and environmental stewardship for forging a path towards a brighter, healthier future for Diagonal Mar.
